Yarn/Wire

Yarn/Wire is the only active contemporary music ensemble in the US dedicated to expanding the body of works written for two pianos and two percussion. The sonic possibilities afforded by this unique instrumentation has led to a rich body of work. Since its inception in 2005, the ensemble has presented concerts throughout the country focusing on the past and present of this repertoire. Based out of New York City, the quartet champions both acoustic and electro-acoustic works; its members' interests range from the standard classical repertory to experimental popular music.
